An
Indentured Apprentice is an individual
who has been selected from the eligibility
list by the NEJATC members/trustees
for the next available class and has
been registered with the U.S. Department
of Labor’s Office of Apprentice.

An applicant must be on the eligibility list in order
be selected for the next available class and registered
with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of
Apprentice.
Every applicant who is on the eligibility list, will
be required to take the Technical Math test before
being becoming an Indentured Apprentice. All eligible
applicants participating in the Technical Math test
will be offered work as Indentured Apprentices. Please
read the NEJATC Policy Statement Section XI, for more
information about the Technical Math Test and Class.

If the individual is not yet working, the NEJATC will
offer the individual work as an Indentured Apprentice
and register the individual with the U.S. Department
of Labor’s Office of Apprentice once the individual
goes to work.
If the individual is already working, the NEJATC will
register the individual with the U.S. Department of
Labor’s Office of Apprentice and change the individuals
classification from Un-Indentured Worker to Indentured
Apprentice.
