An Un-Indentured Worker is an applicant of this apprenticeship program who has met all qualifications for the next available class and is on the eligibility list.

In order to meet all of the qualifications for the next available class an applicant must complete the following:
1.
Submit an application to this apprenticeship program with the $20.00 application fee, payable with a money order or cashier’s check.
2.
Submit official transcripts showing Algebra I (or the equivalent) AND graduation date or GED test scores.
3.
Take the AIR aptitude test and pass with a qualifying score.
4.
Have an interview with the NEJATC members/trustees. Once an applicant has an interview with the NEJATC members/trustees, he or she will be placed on the eligibility list.
After an applicant completes all of the above, the NEJATC will offer the applicant work as an Un-Indentured Worker providing that work is available.

If an applicant is already working, the NEJATC will change that applicant’s classification from Construction Wireman to Un-Indentured Worker.
